OUTDOOR EDUCATION
Outdoor
education or Adventure Based Experiential Learning courses are primarily
concerned with the development of....
- Self concept, self esteem and resilience
- Community living skills
- Perceptions of human and physical environments
The outdoor
activity is structured to create opportunities for students to focus
on themselves, relationships with others and the environment.
The activities that we use to facilitate these aims include kayaking,
rock climbing, sailing, surfing, bush walking, high challenge ropes
courses, caving, snorkelling and group initiatives.
Accompany Outdoors offers
programs from 1 to 22 days duration. Our preference is to
conduct sequential programs across a range of year levels, as this
allows learning outcomes to be transferred to the students home
and school lives. Each program is individually structured
to suit your school's needs.
Curriculum
The
curriculum for each course is delivered through activity and travel
in the outdoors focusing on three elements and the interaction between
them...
